To purchase a number, follow the navigation below:
- Login to your VoIP Business Account and go to Settings.
- Scroll down the settings bar. 🡪 Under the Administrator, click Numbers.
- The numbers window will appear on the right side of your interface.
Click the +Add button on the top right side, and 🡪 select the +Purchase number from the drop-down box.
- An Add number window will appear, asking you to select a country and the type of number.
- VoIP Business provides numbers in different countries. 🡪 Choose one country.
- Choose Australia or New Zealand to unlock a pop-up for number type selection.
- After selecting the country, numbers will appear on your interface.
- Select your number, click ‘Purchase’ and an Address window will open.
- Enter your address and click ‘Use’.
What is Number Porting?
- Number Porting is a process that allows your previous provider number to be transferred to VoIP Business.
- Porting an existing number with your current service provider can be a good idea, especially if you are running a business.
- You won’t like to have a new business number and want to continue with the existing one. We provide you with the facility to smoothly transition your existing numbers to VoIP Business.

What type of numbers can you port?
- You can port almost all service provider’s numbers regardless of their initial codes, such as 01, 03, and 09.
- Plus, you can also port both landline and mobile numbers.
- The process of porting landline numbers may be a little time-consuming as compared to mobile numbers.
- However, we will keep you updated and guide you through each step.
How much does it cost to port a landline/mobile number?
- While porting your existing numbers, you must know that you need to pay fees. Usually, we charge a small amount for each porting.

Follow these steps to send your porting request to us:
- Login to your VoIP Business Account and go to Administrator Settings.
- Find the Number option in the settings panel and click 🡪 the +Add Button.
- Then, click on +Number porting from the drop-down box.
- You will see an Add port number. Enter the number you want to port 🡪 Done
How to select an Existing/Shared Caller ID?
- VoIP Business caters to your business needs as no one does. From a marketing perspective, you may want your outbound calls to remain consistent and streamlined.
- Thus, you need either shared or existing caller ID to help your customers identify your calls and respond to them effectively.
- Suppose you have a Telephone Number from another Telephone or Mobile Service Provider like BT or Virgin Media. You can use it with the same number as a Caller ID on VoIP Business Dialer.
Follow these simple steps to add a specified caller ID :
- Log in to your VoIP business account to access the dialer.
- You may see the VoIP dialer on your screen once you log in.
- Click the menu for your existing VoIP Business numbers.
- Among the few numbers, choose one caller ID.
- Click the desired caller ID you want to show your customers.

How to add new Caller ID?
- Sometimes you want to show your existing business number to your customers.
- Your customers get acquainted with your old number, so you decide to keep it after registering with VoIP Business.
- You might be using that number on your mobile or landline somewhere else. To keep the same caller ID, you can use VoIP Business shared caller ID feature.
Follow these simple steps to set a shared caller ID on VoIP Business:
- Access your VoIP Business Account, then click ‘Settings’.
- After clicking, go to the ‘Number’ module in the administrator settings.
- Click ‘+Add’ and choose ‘+Add Caller ID’.
- After selecting ‘+Add Caller ID’ a pop-up window will appears.
- Add the number you want to add as your caller ID 🡪 click “Done”
- After Add your number, receive a verification code on it, and input the code to verify your phone.
- Then click on “verify” button.
How can you assign numbers to Users, IVR, Teams, or Call queues for incoming calls in VoIP Business as required?
- It’s worth noting that a number can be assigned not only to a single user but also to a team, an IVR or a call queue.
- However, each user in the team or call queue can have number extensions to proceed with the calls smoothly.
- In VoIP Business, you can easily assign numbers to users, IVR systems, teams, or call queues based on your specific needs.
To assign numbers as needed, follow these steps:
- Login to your VoIP Business account and click ‘Settings’ on the left-bottom sidebar.
- Navigate to the ‘Number’ module in the administrator settings and click on it.
- Click on “unassigned/assigned” number from the list to assign it as needed.
- A new interface will appear and click on “Change” button.
- You’ll find options like users, IVR, teams, and call queues. Click one and make your selection.
- Then click on “Done”.
How can you share number for others to use as their caller ID?
- In VoIP Business, sharing your number for others to use as their caller ID is typically done by assigning that number to any user of organization.
- Selected user won’t receive incoming calls on that number.
- They can make calls and view all activity on this number in the VoIP App.
To share a number for use as a caller ID, follow these steps:
- Login to your VoIP Business account and click ‘Settings’ on the left-bottom sidebar.
- Navigate to the ‘Number’ module in the administrator settings and click on it.
- Click on your desire number from the list as needed.
- New interface will appear on right side. Click on “Add users” button.
- Click ‘+Add Users’ again and select the desired user.
- It will display the number of users you’ve shared the number with.
How to label a phone number for quick identification?
In VoIP Business, you can easily label a phone number for quick identification. Here’s how:
- Login first, click setting icon and navigate “Number” from administrator settings.
- Click on desire number, new popup window will appear.
- Write label in the label section.
- This label will display alongside your caller ID in the speed dialer.
How to remove numbers?
- The admin can effortlessly manage numbers on demand, such as purchasing or deleting.
- VoIP Business offers a complimentary number upon signing up for a new account.
- However, you can delete your purchased numbers from your account.
To remove a purchased number, follow these steps:
- Log-in to your VoIP Business Account first.
- Access ‘Number’ in administrator settings within your VoIP Business Account.
- It will show you your enlisted numbers in your VoIP Business account.
- Select the number and scroll down to Delete.
- Click ‘Yes’ to permanently delete the number from your VoIP Business account.
